Buffy

Hulu turned down the Buffy revival series.

Hurts.

Fantastic 4

Fantastic 4 is delightful. Light and fun despite world-being-eaten stakes.

ICONS: Unity

ICONS

Unity

The big superhero team of their setting, sorta-grounded like the MCU

Guardian

Laura Kincaid

Superhumanly strong and tough granddaughter of a legendary supersoldier, team leader and brick

Lancelot, power armour

Mist, phasing and invisibility

Clarity, sonic stun singer

Black Angel, all-weapon martial artist

Playing?

Possible game of the summer as player, superheroes. Hmm.

Important decision: I'm the Cap, getting in the way of damage.

Fancy Party Episode

Daredevil has a Fancy Party episode!

And heroic and villainous reveals and stuff.

Buffy!

Sarah Michelle Gellar returning as Buffy The Vampire Slayer, pilot directed by Chloe Zhao. Fingers crossed.

Jentry Chau Vs. The Underworld

Jentry Chau Vs. The Underworld is pretty fun. Kind of a weird mix of serious YA urban fantasy heroics with funny side characters so the cartoon style would look weird without them rather than balancing those things, but.

Agatha All Along is sooooo my thing

"We are not cool, Teenager!"

"Damn, using his full name."

Agatha All Along

Agatha All Along stuck the landing so managed to be one of my favourite things of the year.

The Crow (2024)

The Crow (2024) was alright. Adequate.

Not as close to the comic as the original film, with a couple of its elements the original didn't use but not much. Takes a long time to get you invested in the central love. Solves the problem of an unstoppable hero by not getting there for over an hour. Nothingy villains. Mostly good but not new soundtrack. Would have been better not calling them Eric and Shelly.

On a purely superficial level, Brandon Lee was achingly beautiful and Bill Skarsgård isn't.

Then again there hasn't been a really good story in the comics since the original either.

Buffy, Chosen at 21

I'm fine

Time Baby

"They've remade The Crow? But it's only been - "

"Thirty years."

"What?"

The Marvels

The Marvels was great fun, at times hilarious and in places actively girly. It helps to have seen Ms. Marvel, but it's also a great nudge to watch Ms. Marvel.

Werewolf By Night

Werewolf By Night was so my kind of thing I'm gonna need T-shirts and stuff. Classic Universal monster rally style horror, funny and weird.

Ms. Marvel

Ms. Marvel 101 was lovely.
