Wildwood

Wildwood is beautifully made, sometimes really dark for what it is.

The Odyssey

The Odyssey is big, beautifully done, sad about the people and the world, doesn't give Penelope enough to do but they never do, shows Christopher Nolan could do horror if he feels like it (the Circe sequence could have been designed to squick me) and could have been two regular sized movies that would both work fine.

Anne Rice's Immortal Universe RPG

Anne Rice's Immortal Universe RPG coming soon from Renegade Game Studios

Interesting. Especially coming from the main recent licensed publishers for World Of Darkness.

The Force Awakens at ten

And despite how that ended, it's still pretty fun.

Frankenstein

Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein is so Guillermo del Toro. Not at all scary, going more for the big sweeping grand version. Beautiful, sad, kind.

Agatha All Along

Agatha All Along stuck the landing so managed to be one of my favourite things of the year.

Players find new routes

From Sam & Fuzzy: "I like it when puzzles in games have multiple solutions. Ha!"

Mage: The Ascension - Sunset City 3

Mage: The Ascension is back AND YES I AM A HOLLOW ONE.

Didi Duvall, The Worst, rides again.

Ksenia Solo as Kenzi in Lost Girl

Fortunately so do Cara, Simon, Alissa and Michael, our actual heroes.

Cara Lawson, Akashayana. Brave, kind, highly dangerous.

Holland Roden as Lydia in Teen Wolf

Simon Donovan, Hermetic. Somebody had to play a smart character.

Rupert Evans as Frank in The Man In The High Castle

Alissa Kwan, Ecstatic. Magic through energetic dance. More sensible than that makes her sound.

Paris Berelc as Alexa in Alexa & Katie

Michael Lang, Verbena. Interested in ancient rituals and weird occult stuff but not that creepy because it's not really that kind of chronicle.

Luke Grimes in Noir State Beach

How not to blockbuster LARP

Jenny Nicholson, The Spectacular Failure of the Star Wars Hotel

Smash 'em up Jenny!

A four-hour examination of the $6000 Star Wars immersive theatre escape room hotel thing, ending by noting its big features were originally meant to be in the regular Star Wars park instead of the hotel.

Reuel: Her deconstruction of Evermore and The Last Bronicon are also very fun watches

Buffy, Chosen at 21

I'm fine

Star Wars: Republic Rangers

The Characters Are Generated

It is a period after the end of a civil war. But there are still plenty of Imperial leftovers to fight. And probably some kind of weird Force thing, especially because we have a slightly Force using PC in the party.

Summer Dolen, child of Rebels, first posting in charge of maintaining a Republic ship (with a crew of two other people) and keen to do her best. Kaylee from Firefly as played by Kaitlyn Dever.

I spent money on D&D! ... film ticket

Dungeons & Dragons Hono(u)r Among Thieves is pretty good fun. Worth it for the Speak With Dead scene alone.

J: Paladin FTW

The Craft: Legacy

The Craft: Legacy is clearly the work of a fan of the original, who also had an issue with how a film about empowering female friendship ended with them fighting potentially to the death. I can see her point.

Ms. Marvel

Ms. Marvel 101 was lovely.
