Fear Itself

Fear Itself

A Gumshoe system modern horror RPG.

Gumshoe characters always get the core clues and have lots of ways to get more information. But not much in general skills...

Session zero: Character Creation.

College kids in an isolated campus.

More to follow hopefully.

Nosferatu (2024)

Robert Eggers' Nosferatu is Nosferatu as staged by Robert Eggers, with some additional points about not enough people listening to Ellen by making her more clairvoyant, and bonus suffering all round.

Hello, New Year. Be kind.

Happy Holidays!

Happy holidays if applicable, a good and safe day to all.

Tori Amos, Winter's Carol

Giving, receiving, phone calls, food, Doctor Who, Wallace & Gromit, "checking a new DVD works" i.e. watching Furiosa, eating 3/4 of a Chocolate Orange not a whole one

Sunset City 3.23

Our beloved Hollow One shitposter Didi and her long-suffering circle complete another Mage: The Ascension series.

Will there be more? I'd be up for it.

Hey, Budapest is in Dracula!

From 2019

"Just saw a tourist ad for Budapest and between the architecture, symphony and stuff it just made me want to run Vampire there."

Who are you, game wise?

Describe your GMing style and your playing style each in one sentence.

GM: Keep the game fun for the players if not necessarily for the PCs

Player:

Happy Friday! The 13th.

Jentry Chau Vs. The Underworld

Jentry Chau Vs. The Underworld is pretty fun. Kind of a weird mix of serious YA urban fantasy heroics with funny side characters so the cartoon style would look weird without them rather than balancing those things, but.

Unmasking The Masquerade

A Vampire LARP documentary from 2004.

IT IS UPON US ONCE MORE

Thanksgiving

Turkey sandwich solidarity achieved. Next, pie. Hey, if I'm going to do this, do it properly.

Snow

We had the first snow here, five days after the first frost. I was prepared due to snow elsewhere in the country and therefore knowing where the shovel is and shopping a couple days early.

I hope you're all proud of me.

Sandy: Muchly. That first snow can be a doozy no matter how prepared one is. As long as it stops for a day or two at least. Stay warm. Hope you bottled some of that record heat from the summer.

Backrooms IRL

The Unabomber's shack in an FBI storage facility.

The photo dates back a few years but went viral today for its jarring SCP Storage bad vibe.

I imagine the photo sounding like the thrumming sound at the start of "If I Had A Heart" by Fever Ray.

CRIME!

Daily bunny no.2759 has a good haul

Will Quinn

Two bunnies in halloween costumes are taking a basket of candy from a doorstep, where it has been left out on Halloween along with a note saying "Take one". One of the thieves is dressed as a robber, the other is a cowboy. A third bunny, arriving at the house slightly after them, looks on disapprovingly.
